Francine (Fran) Paradise, of Ocean Township, passed away November 7, 2019.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, she later moved to, and raised her family in,
West Orange, NJ, before moving to Ocean Township, NJ, then to Jackson,
NJ and later back to Ocean Township.
Fran was an entrepreneur, who along with two of her closest friends,
started, owned and operated the successful high-end women’s fashion
store “We Three”, which was a staple in West Orange for decades.
Fran is pre-deceased by her husband (Harvey) of 65 years, her three
adoring children, Jill and her husband Leon, Richard and his wife
Karen, Ronnie and her husband Dan, her four proud grandchildren,
Jennifer, Michael, Susan and Robin and her "adopted" family of
Viktorija and Ernesta (and her husband, Dale).
Fran was the consummate and stereotypical Jewish mother ... selfless
and caring ... always making sure her family was well-clothed,
well-fed and never wanting for anything that she and her husband,
Harvey, could otherwise provide. Her adoration for her family was
unsurpassed, while her love for animals, particularly dogs, was a
close second. She had an electric personality and legendary smile ...
she knew and touched so many through the popular We Three and the many
fun years playing Mah Jongg at Cabana Club, both in West Orange, NJ.
She was admired for her generosity, engaging and friendly personality
and was loved by so many people who called her a friend. She loved
simple activities spent with family, particularly the beach, shopping,
eating out and drives through various scenic neighborhoods. Quiet
time was often spent reading, doing needlepoint or watching tv. She
left an impact with all of those she came in contact with and, as a
result, she made the world a far better place.
Services will be held at 11:30 on November 10, with arrangements
facilitated by Menorah Chapels in Union, NJ.
