Marcia Bernstein, age 83, of Morristown New Jersey, died on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Morristown Memorial Hospital.

Marcia was born in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Her family later lived on East 2nd Street in Manhattan, where Marcia was raised along with her brother Gerald. Marcia attended PS 188 and Central Commercial High School.
Marcia was married to George Bernstein for 56 years. Marcia and George had three children, raising them in Short Hills, New Jersey. After living in Short Hills for over 40 years, Marcia moved to Morristown in 2015.
Marcia was a loving mother and grandmother. She was loved and adored by her three children and eleven grandchildren, who will all miss her dearly. Her relationship with each child and grandchild was special and strong. Marcia was a caring and beautiful person with a great sense of fairness and fun. She was a terrific mother and grandmother, a true gift to us all. Marcia cherished her time with her children and grandchildren, as well as with her wonderful friends and extended family members. Marcia also very much enjoyed her pet bird, Lucy.

Marcia was predeceased by her parents, Shirley and Samuel, and by her husband George. Marcia is survived by her children, William Bernstein and his wife Lila, Leah Worthy, and Neil Bernstein and his wife Gina. Marica is also survived by her eleven wonderful grandchildren, Alexander, Hannah, Zachary, Kathryn, Owen, Samuel, Joshua, Sarah, Abigail, Lauren and Megan. Marcia is survived as well by her brother Gerald Reiser
and his wife Lorraine, many nieces, nephews and friends.

A graveside funeral service for immediate family only will be held at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge, New Jersey. Due to COVID-19 capacity restrictions at the cemetery, the family would appreciate respecting our wish for privacy at the funeral. The family plans to have a memorial service in the future when all those who knew and loved Marcia will be able to gather safely to celebrate her life.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Marcia’s name to either the Interfaith Food Pantry, 2 Executive Drive, Morris Plains, New Jersey 07950,, or Lighthouse of Michigan, 46156 Woodward Avenue, Pontiac Michigan 48342,
